Services and Eligibility

Early Intervention Services for Children Ages Birth to 3 (Part C Services)

No Cost. No Waitlist. Local Support.

Benchmark Montana Milestones provides free early intervention assessments and services — with no income requirements and no waitlists. Services are tailored to your child’s needs and take place in everyday environments where learning happens naturally.

Our caring team helps families:

  • Understand your child’s development
  • Set goals for learning and growth
  • Provide therapy, coaching and support
  • Connect with community resources

Who qualifies for services?

Support is available to families in all counties across Montana and is managed by the Montana Developmental Disabilities Program.

Your child may qualify if they:

  • Have a 25% delay in two developmental areas, or
  • A 50% delay in one area, or
  • A medical diagnosis likely to cause a developmental delay

How To Get Started

Make a Referral

Anyone with concerns about a child’s development can make a referral — with the parent or caregiver’s permission. That includes:

  • Parents or grandparents
  • Pediatricians, nurses, or daycare providers
  • Family friends or community partners

Once referred, a team will meet with your family to complete a developmental evaluation and help determine next steps. If your child qualifies, services begin right away — because we believe support shouldn’t wait.

Get an Evaluation

A team will work with your family to do a full evaluation of your child’s development. They’ll look at how your child is doing in areas like:

  • Thinking and learning
  • Moving and physical skills
  • Talking and understanding
  • Social and emotional development
  • Daily activities, like eating and dressing
